Medical Virtual Reality Is Already Changing Healthcare

Nowadays, the news of the ICO release does not surprise anyone. Tracking a huge number of projects is becoming increasingly difficult, and it is almost impossible to find something really supported by a product on the market.

We have decided to refute this opinion. In winter, the VR MED project is launched on the ICO — a hardware-software complex based on the VR helmet. VR MED helmet is able to replace a number of medical devices and facilitate the process of examining patients and working with them in such areas as: ophthalmology, neurology, rehabilitation. The VR MED project will be one of the first projects of the RUNMEDICO platform — a site for medical projects based on blockchain technology.

There is a real problem: developments in the field of medicine are a long process, making it difficult for new inventions to enter the market. Medicine needs the development and new high-tech equipment. One of the most promising areas of development is the VR direction. The VR market for health care is estimated at $ 770 million, but the main deterrent is the lack of high-quality inventions and content.

We have designed the first-of-its-kind solution for the development of new areas of medical diagnostics and treatment based on VR through a single software and hardware complex. VR MED includes a virtual reality helmet with specialized software. The main difference between the VR MED helmet and “virtual analogs” is that all the internal components, including the optical system (lenses) are unique, this provides a high accuracy in obtaining and processing patient data. VR MED technology is protected by 4 patents and has been tested in clinics in Russia, Great Britain and Germany.

To date, with the help of a helmet it is already possible to make diagnostics in the field of ophthalmology: to assess the clarity and range of view, to screen the signs of glaucoma. VR MED is able to replace 10 of the 13 “Golden Standard” devices, which are to be in the office of the ophthalmologist. The result of this optimization will amount more than $ 150,000. And this is only ophthalmology. The capabilities of the helmet are much broader and can solve the problems of such areas, for example, as neurology. The usual diagnostic tools in addition to high prices are not mobile and are only designed for stationary use, which limits the access to checkup a much larger category of people: bed-patients, limited in movement. We strive to make diagnostics convenient, mobile and accessible to any category of patients.

How To Prepare for the VR MED Token Sale

Are you ready to help us and contribute to VR MED token sale? Great! It couldn’t be simpler either, as there are only three things you need to do to contribute.
  1. Get some Ether
  2. Move your Ether to a token compatible wallet
  3. Register on our whitelist
Getting Some Ether

Ether is the cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain and the primary currency used to participate in ERC20 token sales. If you don’t already have any ether, you will need to purchase it at an exchange. We have listed some exchanges that will take traditional forms of currency and exchange it for ether (for a fee).

Our favorite exchanges right now are:
Note: It may take several weeks for you to create an account and link up your bank account. We recommend you get started as soon as possible to allow for the time it takes these exchanges to establish your account.
Coinbase is the most popular on this list because of how easy it is to use. To purchase ether on Coinbase you click the “Buy/Sell” link, select “Ethereum” from the list of cryptocurrencies to buy, and enter your form of payment and how much you want. Once you purchase ether it may take a few days to arrive. Once it arrives you will be able to see it by clicking on “Accounts” and finding your ETH Wallet.

Be sure to double check everything before clicking the buy button, so that you do not accidentally purchase Bitcoin.

Move Your Ether To A Token-Compatible Wallet
Now that you have some ether, you will need to move it to a wallet that can receive and manage tokens.

Your eth wallet on Coinbase is not token compatible: do not attempt to send any ether to a token sale from Coinbase directly!
Here are the most popular token compatible wallets you can use:
  • MyEtherWallet (no download needed)
  • MetaMask (Firefox and Chrome browser addon)
  • Mist (Desktop App)
  • imToken (iPhone & Android)
All of these wallets work well, but it is worth mentioning that if you are using using Chrome or Firefox as your web browser, MetaMask makes creating a token compatible wallet and funding it with ether very easy.

If you decide to use a different wallet or exchange you will just need to send your purchased ether to your new wallet address. Each wallet has its own interface but they all make your wallet address prominent and easy to copy for use.

From Coinbase you can send ether to your wallet by clicking on the “send” button in your ETH Wallet (under Accounts). It may take some time before your wallet receives the ether (it has to be processed on the blockchain and confirmed) but once the ether arrives, you are almost ready to take part in our token sale!

Register on the Whitelist

There is one last step before you can trade your ether for VRMD, and that is to add you to our whitelist.

To get on our whitelist you need to register your token-compatible address with us. If you don’t register with us before the whitelist sale begins then you won’t be able to purchase our tokens (sorry!). To register, complete the form on our token sale site using the address of your token-compatible wallet for your Ethereum address. The whitelist ensures our token buyers are who they say they are, as we take security very seriously at VR MED.

That’s it. There really is only three steps to getting ready, but if you have questions about how to prepare for the token sale or our project find us on telegram, where I am happy to help answer your questions.

About VR MED

VR MED, the cutting-edge project created by Russian scientists, is a virtual reality helmet with visual analyzing functions and the capacity to complete tasks in other fields (rehabilitation, neurology). VR MED is equipped with high-precision optics and a high-speed eye-tracker that allows it to diagnose such diseases as glaucoma at the early stages. Lightness and ergonomic design make the device convenient for mobile diagnostics and treatment.

The upcoming ICO campaign is one of the rare examples of tokenization of material assets (converting rights to an asset into a digital token) in medicine.
